A hotel with all right standard and service in a very good location, close to the attractions and in a decent and calm neighbourhood.
We stayed two nights from the 15th to the 17th of September 2009. We stayed in the double room 'Tacito' on the ground floor. We payed 160€, with 10% in advance.

Location:
The location is great, just some hundred meters from the Colosseo. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant (they serve only breakfast), but there are many restaurants close to the hotel. The street the hotel is in is pretty quiet, especially for Rome, and the area felt safe.Room:
The room had a decent size, with a real double bed, not just two singles. The room had a window out to a very small kind of terrace/courtyard, from where other reviewers have reported noise and lack of privacy. We did not experience this problem, and was not troubled by noise. It isn't really a terrace to sit in, but just a small open space to let light in. There are also some shutters on the window, so privacy shouldn't really be a problem. There is AC in the room as well, wich worked properly and without too much noise. There are several closets where you can hang your clothes. The bathroom was OK but not perfect. The shower was not very new, and seemed like it was installed by an amateur (much silicone around the fixtures). Not too big either, but it worked.Breakfast:
The breakfast was served from 7.30 to 9.30 I think. The breakfast was good, with rolls, cheese, ham, salami, yam, yoghurt, cereals, juice and a small coffee-bar. The selection of croissants and cakes was enormous. The service was impeccable.Internet:
The hotel did not have wireless internet, but had a computer in the breakfast area with internet connection. Fifteen minutes a day for each room was free, and you had to pay for access exceeding that. I think they wanted 2€ for half an hour or something.Service:
The reception was staffed 24 hours a day, and the service was good, and the reception staff spoke well English. Check-out time was 10.00.We had a nice stay and could recommend this hotel to other travellers. We didn't check very much around, so I can't say how the price is for a hotel in Rome, but I think it has an OK price.
