Blue Parrot is 5 minutes walk to Kings Cross train station (which runs to the City and Bondi), and 15 minutes walk to the City Centre. Walk by water's edge and through the Botanic Gardens to the Opera House & Harbour Bridge. The ideal location to explore our beautiful city.

Our hostel is safe and clean and in the trendiest part of Sydney with the best nightlife in town, close to all the hip bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs. Surrounded by cafes, shops, supermarkets, post office & banks, but far enough to have a good night's rest.

Our private courtyard garden is a peaceful space to chill out, swing on a hammock, enjoy morning coffee, an evening drink, a BBQ or chat with fellow travellers (open 9am - 10pm ). Or you can hang in the cosy lounge room with big plasma TV, a library and PCs with free internet!

The two sisters, Effie & Sasha, own and run the hostel creating a young, fun & friendly atmosphere. If you like small hostels with character offering a real backpacking experience where you get to meet everybody, then this is the place to come, especially if you are travelling solo.

CREDIT CARDS:

Visa or Master card accepted, minimum charge $300 if your account is less than $300 you must pay in cash on check-in.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Minimum 48 hours notice (from the arrival date) without cancellation charges. After this time you will be charged for the first night.

Cancellations must be made by e-mail only.

Checkout time is 10am, after which the rooms are cleaned. Staff will do their best to allocate a bed as soon as possible as one is available. However we can not guarantee immediate room access. We supply bed linen, duvets, pillows & blankets at no additional charge.

DIRECTIONS TO HOSTEL

FROM SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:

Go to the ' Blue Wall Meeting Point ' inside the arrival hall which is next to gate B, to meet the ' Sydney Shuttle Bus ' crew, it departs frequently, or ring them on 9661 1170 to pick you up.

Just tell the driver to drop you off at the Blue Parrot Backpackers. Fare $12.00

FROM DOMESTIC AIRPORT:

You will find the 'Sydney Shuttle Bus' crew at number 5 baggage causeway inside the arrival hall.

FROM SYDNEY CENTRAL TRAIN STATION:

Catch the train from platform 24 to Kings Cross station. Take the Darlinghurst Road exit, turn left until you come to the hostel.
